Digital Camera Magazine, one of my favorite subscriptions is having their photographer of the year competition. Over the course of the year, they screen and judge photographs in a number of categories including:

1) Powerful Portraits
2) Dramatic Landscapes
3) Animals and Nature
4) Action and Movement
5) The Art of Travel
6) Black and White
